Privacy Policy
What data we process, why we process it and what rights you have.
Last updated: 9 October 2026
This policy explains how LynkSPhere processes personal data when you use our website, your LynkSPhere account, the LynkSPhere Installer app for Android phones (including Send to car, Car Tracker, Mirror and Lynk Translate) and the LynkSPhere apps in the vehicle. LynkSPhere is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by Lynk & Co, Geely or Google.
1. Controller and contact
LynkSPhere, Al Muneera, Al Rahba 1, Al Raha Beach, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE) is responsible for the processing described here. Contact for all privacy questions and requests: support@lynksphere.net.
2. Data we process
- Account data: email address, first and last name, username, password (stored only as a hash by our authentication provider), requested licence plan, sign-in sessions.
- Licence and vehicle data: the vehicle identification number (VIN) your licence is bound to, licence status and term. The installer reads the VIN from the vehicle over your local connection to bind the licence.
- Payment data: payments are processed by Stripe. We receive the payment confirmation, amount and plan, never your full card details.
- Destinations (Send to car): places, addresses or coordinates you choose to send to your car and the name you give them, stored in your account until the car has picked them up or you delete them.
- Car Tracker: the vehicle's position, only when you request it (locate the car or share it live for 15, 30 or 60 minutes), and the trip log your car records for this feature.
- Support messages: the content you send us by email, WhatsApp or Telegram.
- Technical data: IP address, date and time, requested resource, app and device version, collected in server logs to operate and secure the service.
3. The Android app (LynkSPhere Installer)
- No location access on your phone. The app does not request your phone's location. Map positions come only from what you pick on the map or from your car (Car Tracker).
- Mirror (screen and gallery to the car): the picture and sound are sent directly over your local Wi-Fi or the car's hotspot to the car. They are not sent to our servers and not recorded. The microphone permission is requested only if you choose to send the sound of other apps while mirroring; Android requires it to capture app audio. The microphone itself is not recorded.
- Lynk Translate: text recognition and translation run on your device (Google ML Kit on-device). If you enable the accessibility service, it reads the text shown on screen only to translate it on the device; nothing is stored or sent to us.
- Vehicle installer: the app connects to your car over the local network to install and set up the LynkSPhere apps and to read the VIN. These connections stay in your local network.
- Maps: map images are loaded from the OpenStreetMap tile servers (tile.openstreetmap.org). Like any website, the tile server sees your IP address and the map area requested.
- Notifications: used for status messages (e.g. while mirroring) and, in versions downloaded from our website, for update notices.
- The app contains no advertising and no third-party analytics or tracking SDKs.
4. Why we process it (legal bases)
To create and manage your account, to issue and verify your licence, to provide the features you use (sending destinations, Car Tracker, installation), to process payments, to provide support, to secure the service and to comply with legal obligations. Legal bases: performance of our contract with you, our legitimate interest in operating and securing the service, compliance with legal obligations and, where required, your consent (for example for the microphone or the accessibility service, which you can withdraw at any time in Android settings).
5. Web services in the vehicle
When you use third-party web services in the LynkSPhere automotive environment, the service is loaded directly from its provider and you sign in directly with that provider. LynkSPhere does not collect or store those login credentials. Session information remains locally on the vehicle. The provider's own privacy policy applies.
6. Service providers and recipients
- Supabase (database and authentication; data hosted in Japan, region ap-northeast-1).
- Cloudflare (website hosting, API and file storage; global network).
- Stripe (payment processing).
- OpenStreetMap Foundation (map tiles, see section 3).
These providers process data on our behalf under their data processing terms. Where data is transferred outside your country, appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses are used. We do not sell personal data and do not share it for advertising.
7. Retention
We keep account, licence, destination and Car Tracker data for as long as your account exists. Destinations are removed once delivered or deleted by you. When you delete your account, this data is deleted immediately (see section 8). Payment records are kept by Stripe and by us only as long as tax and commercial law requires. Server logs are kept for a short period for security. Support messages are deleted when no longer needed.
8. Deleting your account
You can delete your account at any time:
- In the app: LynkSPhere Installer → Delete account on the start page (while signed in).
- On the website: Your account → Delete account.
- By email: write to support@lynksphere.net from the email address of your account; we delete it within 30 days.
Deletion removes your account, profile and licence, the linked VIN, saved destinations, Car Tracker positions and trip log and all sign-in sessions. Remaining licence time is not refunded. Payment records we are legally required to keep are retained for the statutory period.
9. Your rights
You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection, and to withdraw consent at any time. You may also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. To exercise your rights, contact support@lynksphere.net.
10. Security
Connections to our servers are encrypted (HTTPS). Passwords are stored only as hashes. Access to personal data is restricted to what is needed to run the service.
11. Children
Our services are intended for vehicle owners and are not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
12. Cookies and tracking on the website
This website does not use advertising cookies or third-party analytics. When you sign in, your session is kept in your browser's local storage so you stay signed in; signing out removes it. Fonts and scripts are served from our own domain.
13. Changes
We update this policy when our services change. The date at the top shows the latest version.
